Meet The Team
Dr. Paul Fjeldsted heads the La Mesa Hills Dentistry office on University Avenue in La Mesa. He and the rest of the La Mesa Hills Dentistry team share a passion for providing patients with the highest quality of dentistry in a comfortable and family orientated environment. Dr. Fjeldsted received his training from the University of Southern California Dental School and completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. His training in biomimetic dentistry allows him to use the latest technology to implement conservative and preventative procedures. His goal is to establish a relationship of trust with all of his patients by understanding their individual needs and expectations. He is well versed in the plethora of services offered by La Mesa Hills Dentistry. From porcelain veneers to dental implants, Dr. Fjeldsted can do it all. Though he was raised in the San Francisco bay area, Dr. Fjeldsted is really a Southern Californian at heart. An avid surfer, he enjoys catching waves any chance he gets. Dr. Fjeldsted enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys playing the guitar, snowboarding, biking, and cheering on USC football.
Dr. Fjeldsted is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the San Diego Dental Society.

Originally from North Carolina, he enjoys the outdoors and makes the most of his downtime by surfing along the coast . When he’s not catching waves, he loves spending time with his wife and their fur baby, Roo. A wine enthusiast, Dr. Glackin also enjoys exploring new vintages and savoring a good glass in the company of good friends. His combo of professional expertise and down to earth personality makes him a great addition to our office.
Hi I’m Natalie, the office manager. My goal is to make your visit to our office PERFECT in every way. Every patient deserves a healthy, beautiful smile. I will work with you personally to help you accomplish your oral health goals. In my free time, I am a connoisseur of fine high heel shoes.
Rita is the pretty face you see when you first arrive. She is an expert at scheduling, billing insurances, chatting on the phone and having fun. She is always willing to share a taste of her lunch with you – just ask 🙂
I was born and raised in Des Moines, IA and moved to San Diego 10 years ago. I was a dental assistant for 8 years before becoming a dental hygienist. I love educating patients on their oral health care to help keep their smiles healthy for a lifetime. I am also a member of the California Dental Hygienists’ Association. On my days off, I enjoy catching up with friends over brunch, cooking dinner for my family, and cuddling with my two dogs.
My name is Marco Mitchell. I am registered and licensed as a dental assistant. With over 20 years of experience, I look forward to making sure all of our patients have HAPPY and HEALTHY smiles. I love my three beautiful daughters and Jesus. I always stay prayed up and positive and keep a smile on my face.
